New Home Depots Coming to Phoenix Suburbs

Home Depot Inc. is advancing plans to open new stores in Surprise and Buckeye, Arizona. In June, the company received a permit to build a 109,651-square-foot warehouse store with an attached garden center in Surprise. The store will be located on an 18-acre site Home Depot purchased for $8.4 million near Cactus Road and Loop 303, adjacent to Barclay Group’s new Fry’s-anchored shopping center, which is slated for construction this fall.
In Buckeye, Home Depot has submitted plans for a 108,000-square-foot store that will be part of the 410,000-square-foot Buckeye Commons shopping center. The center, anchored by a Costco, may also feature retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods.
